YOUR INFORMATION
Privacy Policy
Effective September 6, 2026
Regaragitate uses the information needed to show nearby items, create listings, arrange offers, and coordinate pickup. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Information we collect
We store public item discussions and private seller–recipient conversations. Public discussion messages and display names are visible to anyone while the listing is public. Private conversations are available in the app only to the seller and the currently selected recipient, including after pickup. If the recipient changes, the previous conversation is not shared with the replacement recipient. Chat notifications link to the conversation without including message text.
When you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifier, verified email address, display name, and profile photo. We do not receive or store your Google password. We use an essential session cookie to keep you signed in and a short-lived cookie to protect the sign-in process.
You can also sign in through a one-time email link and register a passkey. Email links expire after 15 minutes. We store hashed sign-in tokens and the public portion of your passkey, along with information needed to verify sign-ins. Your private passkey, fingerprint, face data, and device PIN stay with your device or passkey provider; we do not receive them.
When you use the service, we may process:
- item photos and AI-generated listing details, including titles, descriptions, categories, keywords, and estimated values;
- an approximate listing location, rounded before storage;
- asking prices, monetary offer limits, free requests, personal appeals, selection settings, pickup deadlines, pickup checklist acknowledgements, and private pickup instructions; and
- basic technical information processed by our hosting provider to operate, secure, and diagnose the service.
Location information
On first load, Regaragitate uses approximate location information supplied with the request by Cloudflare to show nearby items immediately. If you allow browser location access, device coordinates replace that approximation for more accurate distance results. Regaragitate does not save either set of browsing coordinates in its application database. A seller’s listing location is rounded to approximately neighborhood-block precision before it is stored. Public search results provide an approximate distance and do not return the stored coordinates.
Photos and artificial intelligence
Submitted photos are processed by Cloudflare Workers AI to check for people, disallowed body parts, reflections, sensitive information, and prohibited or unsafe goods, and to create listing text and keywords. A single hand, optionally with its connected arm, may appear when it is used only to present the listed item. Photos that fail review or cannot be analyzed are saved as private listings with a failure reason. Their owners and authorized administrators can access flagged photos for review. Administrators can approve a flagged listing for public display; we record the approval and original flag reason. AI still generates item details for flagged photos when possible. AI review can make mistakes, so users remain responsible for what they submit.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate accounts; display and search listings; calculate approximate distance; deliver offers and notifications; coordinate pickups; prevent misuse; maintain security; and operate and improve the service.
When information is shared
Public listings appear in Browse and search. Private listings do not appear there, but anyone with their direct link can view the listing and photos, read its questions, and sign in to send a request. A link can be forwarded, so Private does not mean owner-only. Listings pending review or that failed review remain restricted to the owner and, where applicable, authorized administrators.
If you enable push notifications, we store this device’s push subscription and encryption keys to deliver marketplace updates through your browser’s push service (such as Apple, Google, or Mozilla). Notification previews may appear on your lock screen. You can disable notifications for this device from the avatar menu; signing out also disables its subscription.
Public listings show the accepted item photo, generated listing information, approximate distance, and limited seller profile information. Offers are shown to the seller. Private pickup instructions are shown only to the selected recipient after that person accepts the pickup checklist.
Google processes sign-in information, and Cloudflare provides hosting, databases, object storage, security, and AI processing. We may also disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect people, property, or the service. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and security
We retain account and marketplace information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. We use access controls, encrypted connections, secure cookies, and provider security features, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can decline browser location access, although nearby browsing and listing require a location. You can sign out at any time. To request access, correction, or deletion of your account information, contact us at privacy@regaragitate.com.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date.
